Do all of you really understand what kind of bullet we all dodged here by not electing McCain/Palin? I really can’t imagine how a fucking dumbass like Sarah Palin could be elected as Governor of Alaska other than the people of Alaska must have been in hibernation when election day happened.
Given what we know about Ted Stevens and Sarah Palin, one must ask… Are Alaskans too fucking stupid to be part of this country?
I’m still in shock. For the first time in a long while I can hold my head up and say that I’m proud to be an American. This country does not belong to those who hate. This country does not belong to those who choose what’s best for them at the expense of others. This country belongs to all of us. Today is truly a great day to be an American.

In the same way that historians thumbnail century by its defining moments (Moon landing, Civil War, Boston Tea Party) Yesterday was truly one of those defining moment for our country. For the first time in my life, I was watching a man who I truly felt deserved the highest office of the land by virtue of the fact that he is one of us and if the President is the single representative of the United States of America, then Barack Obama fits that role quite well. I love that he’s eloquent. I love that he’s a devout family man. I love that he came from very humble beginnings. I love that I was alive to see possibly the greatest moment of the modern era come to life and I definitely love this speech.
