The Art of Surfacing - posts?

Does anyone have any opinions on whether TAOS should come out every weekday (or thereabouts) or would you rather prefer that I lump the sub-chapters into longer pieces and put them out once a week?

Word Sushi: 5 - Intro to Structure

Over the weekend I found a box of my original Star Wars figures from 30 years ago. That and an e-mail from Matt in Germany made me think of three act structure.

Bob Harris Soprano’s Analysis…

Jersey Todd, Julio and a few others have sent me this link. A former TV writer has blogged about his analysis of the ending of the Sopranos. I agree with what he says. The directing and writing choices he notes are as good as anything you’d find from a top filmmaker. Again, I felt the last episode was brilliant… except for those last few seconds.

No amount of Monday Morning quarterbacking can ever replace the great deal of dissatisfaction I felt the moment the ending happened. I did not see the credits roll and say to myself, “Wow, I really have to think about this.” I said, “What the fuck was that?” I think David Chase built great tension but never gave me enough release. Someone sent me an e-mail that equated it to “half a hand job”.

So since I’m not going to comment on it on the show anymore, unless it becomes news after angry fans have stormed David Chase’s home with torches and pitchforks. I thought I’d offer this link.
